Daniels Ln, Sagaponack, NY
The house is located on Daniels Lane in Sagaponack, Long Island, NY, a beautiful enclave in the Hamptons. Our clients sought a modern 10,000 sq.ft. home near the ocean, designed to accommodate their family, invite guests, and host indoor and outdoor gatherings.
The architecture is composed of clean, horizontal volumes, linked by a dramatic double-height concrete atrium. At the center of this space is a sculptural staircase—travertine-clad, with floating treads suspended by steel cables—that connects the floors and anchors the composition. The atrium divides the living room and kitchen on the first floor, and separates the children’s bedrooms from the primary suite above, accessed by a suspended bridge. A garage is located discreetly along the north façade.
The interior was designed to reflect the client-s minimalist and refined aesthetic. Expansive windows fill the home with natural light and integrate all the living spaces with the outdoors. The exterior is wrapped in a Cumaru wood rainscreen. Volumes are articulated by exposed structural steel beams, cantilevered decks, and steel trellises, reinforcing the horizontal lines. A 70-foot infinity pool and a modern pool house are located at the end of the vast lawn.
